Skills Competitions Talent Identification Event Delivery On-Premise Deployment
CHALLENGES

Stronger Security Capability Needs a Structured Program

Agencies organizing regional security competitions commonly face these problems.

Urgent Need for Skilled Staff

The pool of practitioners with hands-on security skills is thin, and competition is one of the clearer ways to find and develop them.

Complex Event Logistics

Format design, platform build-out, and challenge preparation are specialist technical work that agencies rarely complete unaided.

Demanding Technical Assurance

As an official regional activity, the event carries stricter expectations around platform stability and incident response.

Results Not Turned Into Insight

Without systematic analysis of the results, it is hard to form an overall picture of regional security capability.

SECURITY

Stable, Secure, Controlled Event Operation

Layered safeguards designed for the security requirements of public sector environments.

On-Premise Deployment

The platform runs entirely on designated servers. Event data and participant information never leave the domain, and fully offline operation is supported.

Network Isolation

Challenge environments run in isolated containers, keeping participants separate from one another and from the host environment.

Access Control

Separate permissions for administrators, judges, and participants, with actions traceable.

Data Management

Event data stored and backed up locally, with export and archival on request.

SCENARIOS

Applicable Scenarios

FAQ

Public Sector Questions

What preparation does a cybersecurity skills competition require?
Six areas, broadly: defining the event’s purpose and eligible participants; settling the format and scoring rules; preparing challenges matched to participant skill levels; deploying the platform and completing testing and acceptance; assembling judging and technical support; and planning the score reporting and summary afterwards. YQHL can take on the platform build-out, challenge environment setup, and technical assurance, leaving the organizing body to focus on event organization and participant engagement.
Can the platform be deployed inside a government network?
Yes. The platform uses a Docker container architecture and supports fully offline deployment, so installation and operation require no internet connection. All event data, participant information, and challenge content remain on the designated local servers and never traverse an external network. This is the most common deployment model among public sector users and meets the security management requirements of air-gapped government networks.
Can it handle larger events?
Yes. For regional events above 500 participants we use a multi-node deployment that separates platform services from challenge environments, with dedicated capacity planning and load testing beforehand. During the event, technical staff monitor platform load and operational state on site or remotely so the competition runs steadily from start to finish.
Which competition formats are supported?
Four formats are supported: CTF Jeopardy, AWD attack-and-defense, full-scope penetration testing competitions, and knowledge-based quizzes, along with combined formats. A common public sector arrangement uses a quiz format for public awareness activities to keep the barrier low, and a two-stage CTF qualifier plus AWD final for technical staff, balancing reach against selection depth.
