FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

What cybersecurity competition services does YQHL provide?
Two things. First, the competition platform itself — built and deployed on-premise, supporting both CTF (Jeopardy) and AWD attack-defense formats. Second, event delivery services covering solution design, platform deployment, challenge environment build-out, on-call technical assurance during the event, and post-event data analysis. You can license the platform alone or combine it with the event services.
Which competition formats are supported?
CTF (Jeopardy) and AWD attack-defense are both fully supported, as are combined formats such as a CTF qualifier followed by an AWD final. CTF covers Web, Pwn, Crypto, Reverse, and Misc categories; AWD provides target machine management, service health checks, and separate attack/defense scoring. Red-blue exercises and always-on range training are on the roadmap.
Can the platform be deployed on an internal network?
Yes. The platform is Dockerized and can be deployed entirely on servers within a campus network, government intranet, or corporate intranet. All event data, participant information, and challenge content stay local — nothing transits an external network. For fully air-gapped environments, an offline installation path is supported.
How long does it take to go from inquiry to a live event?
For a small-to-mid event using standard challenges (under 200 participants), the platform is typically ready in 2-3 weeks. Custom challenges or complex intranet deployments extend that to 4-6 weeks. We recommend starting at least a month ahead to leave room for environment testing and a dry run. We’ll confirm the specific schedule during solution discussions.
